1. Overview
HappyTots is an offline-first early-learning app for children aged 2–7. We designed the app to minimize data collection and keep children's activity on the device.
2. What information we collect
HappyTots does not require an account, email address, phone number, or any personal information to use the learning and game features.
The app stores the following information locally on your device using standard device storage (localStorage / native app storage):
- Stars earned and total star count
- Stickers and badges unlocked
- Daily learning streak
- Approximate play time and completed activities
- Parent-area preference (math-gate state)
This data stays on the device. It is not sent to our servers, and we do not have the ability to access it.
3. How we use information
Local data is used only to:
- Show progress and rewards inside the app
- Track daily streaks for motivation
- Display simple stats in the parent area
4. Children's privacy
HappyTots is intended for children and their parents or guardians. The app does not include advertising, social features, external links accessible to children, or in-app purchases. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can help remove it from the device.
5. Data sharing and third parties
We do not sell, rent, or share any personal information. HappyTots operates fully offline, so no analytics, advertising, or tracking services are active during normal use.
If you download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, those platforms may collect installation and device information according to their own privacy policies, which are separate from this policy.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
The HappyTots app does not use cookies or tracking pixels. The landing website (this site) does not use analytics or advertising cookies. It only uses standard browser features needed to display the page.
7. Data retention and deletion
Because all activity data is stored locally on your device, it remains there until you delete it. You can clear the app's data at any time through your device settings:
- iOS: Settings → General → iPhone Storage → HappyTots → Delete App or Offload App
- Android: Settings → Apps → HappyTots → Storage → Clear storage / Clear data
Uninstalling the app will also remove locally stored data.
8. Security
We use reasonable measures to keep the app free from network requests and external data transfers. Since the app works offline, there is no remote database or account system to compromise. However, no device storage can be guaranteed completely secure, so please keep your device protected with a passcode or biometric lock.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
